Glendale - Phoenix Hotels .com

As a suburb of Phoenix, Glendale has recently been put on the map, so to speak, by the construction of the University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the Fiesta Bowl and the Arizona Cardinals. Adjacent to the stadium is the Jobing.com Arena, home of the Phoenix Coyotes, the local NHL team, which is part of the Westgate City Center, a mixed-used development that when completed will include 6.5 million square feet of retail space. The multiple electronic signs and elaborate fountain has given the area the nickname "Times Square of the Desert."

The area is also known as one of Arizona's best places to go antiquing. Many can be found on Glendale Avenue, one of the city's main thoroughfares.

Stay close to all the action by checking into the Ramada Limited Arrowhead Mall located nearby the Arrowhead Towne Center shopping mall. Another option is the Quality Inn Glendale, located in the city's downtown historic district.
