World of Wheels - Phoenix Hotels .com

World of Wheels is the only indoor custom car series of its kind, also the oldest and largest in Arizona. On exhibit, you will come across millions of dollars worth of custom cars, trucks, motorcycles, hot rods and antique cars. Motor lovers from across North America come to see the captivating displays at this January event. This event was previously held at the Phoenix Civic Plaza and has now been relocated to the new University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.

The nostalgic and custom automobile displays will keep you entertained for long. Check out vintage models such as 1957 Chevy, 1965 Honda S600 apart from precious antique cars that date back to early 19th century. Some of the custom cars are quite impressive.

This three day event also features a Globe of Death motorcycle thrill show, where two motorcycle riders race each other inside a gigantic ball. Watch live performances by singing, dancing and acrobatic troupes. Celebrities such as race car drivers like Sterling Marlin and Rusty Wallace, WWE's Steve Austin, the Undertaker, Bill Goldberg and NHRA's John and Ashley Force attend this event.

Later, you may want to dine at the Arizona Kitchen (623-935-3811) to savor some southwestern cuisine. If you wish to stay near the stadium, try Comfort Suites Tolleson, located four and a half miles from the stadium.
