Watch works by new artists that highlight the social and moral issues facing modern times at the Phoenix Theatre. Past plays have explored into the insidious nature of bullying, murder caused by deceit, betrayal and greed, and struggles of a baseball player to maintain eternal love as the daughter grasps for money and marriage.

Melodramas from the turn of the century can also be seen at this festival. Downside is that there are no sets and costumes, so very little glamour. But good thing is that you get to watch these plays before they are widely produced. The festival serves as a workshop for these new plays, which are also revised for quality.
