Las Noches de las Luminarias - Phoenix, AZ

For a romantic evening in the desert glow, go for the Las Noches de las Luminarias, held in the holiday season, at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. Walk through thousand of paper bags with lighted candles illuminating the pathways

You can also find food, music and activity here. This event is more or less for grown ups. You can grab a cup of coffee and have a pleasant stroll along the rare desert plants. This Phoenix event takes place from 5.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.

Music buffs should head to the auditorium. Arizona's crooner, Monte Procopio, Khani Cole and Bartholomew Faire have entertained visitors here in 2007 apart from The SwingTips, Cascable, James Linton, Wolf's Robe and, hand-bell choirs.

If you are a smoker, do not light up here, as no smoking is allowed at this event. Feel free to browse around the Desert Botanical Garden gift shop. You may come across some interesting items there. Do take your jacket along and dress in layers. Visitors can enjoy eatables and warm drinks along the illuminated paths apart from a wine tasting area.

Those who want a proper dining experience can try the Mediterranean-inspired dishes at T.Cook's (602-808-0766). Elegant setting of a 1920s era mansion is sure to please you.
