Built in 1973, Metrocenter was Phoenix's first two-level mall. Over the years it has lost a lot of it's clientel to newer malls that have been built after the city sprawled out beyond the mall's current location. However, it is still anchored by national department stores such as JCPenney, Macy's, Sears and Dillard's.
